Gathering Place is hosting a can’t-miss community event for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5th! Join us for bounce houses, hot dogs, popcorn, popsicles, face painting, and a whole lot of fun for the whole family.

Join us this summer to get some fresh air, fellowship & exercise as we gather at the Des Moines marina! Some days we can walk, some days we can grab a coffee and just talk, or some days even do both, wherever the morning takes us.
Open to all ladies of Gathering place, children & friendly dogs are always welcome! And invite a friend!

Join the Gathering Place Family for a fun night at the ballpark on Friday, July 25th! First pitch is at 7:05 pm, with gates opening at 5:30 pm. Your ticket includes a classic ballpark meal - hotdog, chips and water. Stick around after the game for an exciting fireworks show! Celebrate the end of school and the move up into youth group. The event will be held off site at the DIMENSION XR center in Tukwila for a 1 hr virtual reality gaming experience! Youth will be able to participate in a team-exercise while problem solving together through this special event! If you have a kindergartener going into first grade, a 5th grader going into 6th, a middle school student going into HS, or a graduate- we want to know! We will be celebrating our students followed by a celebration BBQ for everyone. No registration needed for BBQ.

Each year we host a family business meeting. This is a time for us to look back on 2024 and to talk about some fun stuff on the horizon for 2025.
Small groups are essential to connect with others at Gathering Place as we work towards our mission to Gather, Grow & Give. We will study the last 6 lessons in The Purple Book, which outlines foundational Christian principles applicable to all seasons of Believers. Please select a small group that is convenient for you. The book is available on Amazon for $7, Click here to order now! You will need to complete the first 5 days of lessons in Chapter 7 prior to February 19th.

GP Youth and their friends are invited to a safe and fun evening on Valentine’s Day night. This will be a formal gathering and will include a meal and games.

February is the perfect month to provide love to our neighbors. One of the ways we can do this is through supporting Transform Burien, a local mission that provides food, clothing, laundry, and love for those in need. Visit the booth in the lobby for a list of their most needed food items and a flier to take to your neighbors.

Each year we set aside time to corporately seek the heart of God for ourselves and for our church. This season of Prayer and Fasting begins Sunday, January 5th through January 26th.
During this time, we will also gather for 3 Friday evenings, the 10th, 17th and 24th of January. Mark your calendars and be praying about what God might be asking you to Fast.
Adult and Family devotionals that align with the 21-day prayer and fasting journey are available for purchase. If you cannot order through Amazon, we will have a handful of the devotionals available for purchase after service on 1/5/25 for $12.
