February is the perfect month to provide love to our neighbors. One of the ways we can do this is through supporting Transform, a local mission that provides food, clothing, laundry, and love for those in need. Visit the booth in the lobby for a list of their most needed food items and a flier to take to your neighbors.

Each year, we intentionally set aside time to seek God together—both for our own lives and for our church community. Our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting will take place from Sunday, January 4th, through January 25th.
During this season, we will also gather for three Friday night prayer services:

Small groups are essential to connect with others at Gathering Place as we work towards our mission to Gather, Grow & Give. This fall we will gather together to grow in our communication skills. Through the lens of the book Crucial Conversations (available here), we will learn how to handle tough talks with wisdom grace, and confidence. Gathering Place is hosting a can’t-miss community event for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5th! Join us for bounce houses, hot dogs, popcorn, popsicles, face painting, and a whole lot of fun for the whole family.

Join us this summer to get some fresh air, fellowship & exercise as we gather at the Des Moines marina! Some days we can walk, some days we can grab a coffee and just talk, or some days even do both, wherever the morning takes us.

Join the Gathering Place Family for a fun night at the ballpark on Friday, July 25th! First pitch is at 7:05 pm, with gates opening at 5:30 pm. Your ticket includes a classic ballpark meal - hotdog, chips and water. Stick around after the game for an exciting fireworks show! Our goal is to come together in unity—aligned in heart, vision, and mission for camp. It’s a great chance for new families to learn more about what to expect and to create intentional space to spiritually prepare ourselves and our kids for what God wants to do at camp.

There is something about Men getting together to encourage and champion one another. Especially when pancakes, eggs and meats are involved. This month, we’ll be sharing the space with the women’s ministry but gathering separately for fellowship and encouragement. The food will be great, but the company will be even better. Let us know you are coming so we can ensure we have plenty of stacks of hotcakes available!
Celebrate the end of school and the move up into youth group. The event will be held off site at the DIMENSION XR center in Tukwila for a 1 hr virtual reality gaming experience! Youth will be able to participate in a team-exercise while problem solving together through this special event! If you have a kindergartener going into first grade, a 5th grader going into 6th, a middle school student going into HS, or a graduate- we want to know! We will be celebrating our students followed by a celebration BBQ for everyone. No registration needed for BBQ.
