Weekly Bulletin

Dear Gathering Place Family...

We hope you are doing well during this difficult season. I know that this can feel incredibly lonely and isolated time.  Although we cannot be physically together, this is still a wonderful time to be the church to one another.

Support During Stay-At-Home Orders

I am praying for you—and I am not the only one. Our staff, council and prayer team are also praying right now.  We are also available to help meet other needs. We have a team of dedicated people willing to pick up groceries or pharmacy items if you are unable to make it out of your home.  Please let me know directly and I can help arrange that.

Zoom Invite

Though we are far apart God is still present with us. During this time I am reminded more than ever that we KNOW God when we are in the community.  We can still connect in real ways.  On April 15, we will be doing a “zoom” call and you are welcome to join us.

Simply download the zoom app now and you will be ready. I will be sending out the code to join our meeting in next week’s email.

Good Friday

Good Friday is April 10th. It is an incredible day to make sure we remember the sacrifice made for each of us.  Though we traditionally spend time together as we remember this somber time, this year we will be doing it on our own.  On Friday, April 10th we will be posting our Good Friday service.  During this short devotional we will serve communion.  Though the traditional way is done with wine and bread and at Gathering Place the tradition is juice and sourdough bread. I want to invite you to plan ahead with elements of your own and join us. You simply need to find a beverage and bread or crackers.  It will be at the end of the message for continuity. This is obviously a different way than our normal pattern, but the idea is that we set aside time to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

World Vision: Global 6k for Water

This year the 6k will be done through safe distancing measures in virtual spaces. Join us on May 16 to walk for water and help those in desperate need of clean water. Check out our Team World Vision.

Missed a Sunday?

Just in case you missed this last week's message you can find it here.  Also, we have been posting weekly devotions for families to engage with during the week. You can download the devotions for a simple way to connect with God daily.
