Dear Gathering Place Family...

This weekend we will celebrate Palm Sunday. We will be celebrating the triumphal entry of Jesus and look at the week leading up to his crucifixion. I was once asked why we would celebrate the “downfall of Jesus,” and my response was that we are actually celebrating the hope we now have. Without the death and resurrection, we could not have the redemption that is offered so freely through Jesus to all that choose to repent and follow Him. It is my hope that as we approach this incredible time of year you will allow God to speak to your heart and show you the beauty of Jesus in a fresh way.

We will have Good Friday Service on April 15th at 7PM to set aside a time to remember the sacrifice made for each of us. This is a time of music, reflection, communion and a brief message. Please join us and invite a friend along as well.

Our community Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Des Moines Campus (2038 S 222nd St, Des Moines, WA) on April 16th from 9AM – 10:30AM. This is a community event and we want all of you to come if you are available. We are in need of several people to help with the clean-up after the event if you can. Set-up begins at 7:30AM and clean-up is typically done by 11:30AM. Come and be a part of this great event and connect with our friends and neighbors. There are still invitations available if you would like to include a friend.

If you enjoy gardening and working outside, we could use your help. We are trying to refresh the outside of our building before Easter. Would you please consider giving your time and energy for us here at Gathering Place to help with pulling weeds, raking leaves, or even by bringing your lawn mower to trim the patches of grass before Easter? Let me know if you have any available time to come and serve over the next week to help beautify our property.

Blessings ~
