Dear Gathering Place Family...
Our new series “The Presence of God” is designed to help us know that whether we feel God’s presence or not, He is with us in and through all things. Sometimes we wonder where God is when bad things happen or when we feel alone, but the reality is that God is always with us – present and focused on our daily lives. This weekend we are looking at 1 Peter and will look deeper into what our lives look like when God is present and active.
Men’s breakfast is this Saturday (May 7) at 9 AM. Austin Marshall will be sharing the message and we will have a time of prayer and a great breakfast together. We hope you can join us and feel free to invite and include a friend. Immediately after breakfast we want to invite you to stay if you are available to help us put the new steel over the outside roof area near the playground. We need six to eight men to help install the new roofing.
Camp sign-ups have begun for our kids for summer. There are still spaces available if your elementary, middle school or high school student would like to join us. This is a great week set aside to focus on faith and making their decision to follow God their own. We will have a fundraiser in early June to help with the finances of this amazing opportunity. Please don’t let the money be a deterrent if your child is interested. The students always have an incredible time as they learn and grow in their faith and relationships with one another.
There is still time to join the World Vision Global 6K and partner with the Gathering Place team. Whether you desire to walk with us or simply want to be a financial supporting partner you can be make a difference in the life of a child in a developing nation. A $50 contribution provides a lifetime of water for a person in a developing nation – and also provides local jobs and other resources for communities in need.
Thank you so much for your continued financial partnership with Gathering Place. Thanks to your support we have been able to keep funding orphans, refugees, and aid workers from Ukraine that are currently in Germany. It is our prayer for the war to end soon, but also know that God is present with those precious children no matter where they are. You can continue to help support. 100% of contributions go directly to the children with nothing kept by us and no administrative costs.
Blessings ~
