Dear Gathering Place Family...

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you that Supported our Youth Camp during last week’s Dessert Auction. You are an incredible blessing to our children and as a result the community of Gathering Place. We had incredible participation and your support allowed us to help 15 students cover their cost as well as pay for our leader’s fees. If you are interested in helping as a cabin leader at camp, we would love to have your participation and support this summer. We still have need for a female cabin leader at Middle School Camp (July 18-22) and a male leader at Middle School and High School camp (July 25-29). These are incredibly rewarding times for our children and are impacting for the leaders as well. Please contact me if you need more information or are interested in going. There is also still space to send your kids to camp if you had not gotten around to signing up yet. We would love to have your kids or grandkids be a part of our camping program.

We need help with post service hospitality. If you can sign-up to take a week or two over the next six months it would be greatly appreciated. It does not need to be a complex or difficult thing and you can find out all the details at the java dock - which is where sign-ups occur. Being a part of this ministry allows us to serve all those who come a post service snack. The beauty of this ministry is it creates relationship building opportunities. We will have sign-ups available the through the end of June.

Service on the lawn is coming up July 17th. This great time together will take place at the Des Moines campus (2038 S 222nd St, Des Moines, WA) followed by a picnic. We will be serving hot dogs and burgers, chips, drinks, and dessert. Please plan to join us for this incredibly fun time as we build relationships in a fun setting. This is a great opportunity to bring and include friends as we have an abbreviated service and share a meal together. Please contact Ray in the office if you would like to help with food prep, set-up or clean-up that day. Many hands make for an easier day for all of us.

It is truly a pleasure to be your pastor. You are a blessing to my life.
